Meiquan Environmental Protection Boutique Project Series: Cambodia Chapter

This project is located at the 68km point between Battambang and Pailin in Cambodia - Hunan Erkang (Cambodia) Investment Co., Ltd. Battambang Starch Factory. The project mainly treats cassava starch and sodium citrate production wastewater. Construction began in early 2015, and installation was completed in August of the same year. After one month of commissioning and operation, the effluent water quality exceeded the design standards and can be used for green space irrigation and landscape lake water replenishment, receiving unanimous praise from the production enterprise and relevant local departments. After the project was completed and put into production, it reduced pollutant emissions (in terms of COD) by nearly 40 tons per day and produced more than 12,000 cubic meters of biogas per day, equivalent to 12 tons of standard coal. While ensuring the smooth operation of the enterprise's production, it also brought considerable economic benefits to the enterprise.
